Turbinicarpus jauernigii
Acquired: 9 days ago(4/10/2026)
While it follows the typical Mexican summer growth cycle, it is unique for flowering in late autumn and winter. In cultivation, it requires a dry winter rest despite its winter blooming habit.
Origin: Mexico, San Luis Potosí. It is endemic to a very restricted area north of Las Palomas (near Las Tablas). It grows on low, rocky limestone hills and alluvial flats in the transition zone between the Chihuahuan Desert and semi-arid scrub.
