Green This species grows during the warm, wet summer months of the southern hemisphere. It requires a strictly dry and cool winter dormancy to maintain its compact form and encourage spring flowering.
Origin
Southern Bolivia, specifically in the Chuquisaca Department. It is endemic to a very restricted area near the town of Zudañez, growing on high-altitude rocky ridges and grassy slopes at elevations around 2,700 meters.
