In a cement pot by Prickly Point This species grows best during the milder temperatures of the shoulder seasons. It typically goes semi-dormant during the peak heat of summer and the coldest parts of winter, though it remains opportunistic regarding moisture.
Origin
Western Cape, South Africa. It is endemic to a very specific area in the Little Karoo, primarily on rocky hills and shale ridges between the towns of Riversdale and Garcia's Pass. It grows in stony, shale-rich soil, often wedged between rocks or sheltered by small Karoo bushes.
