In a cement pot by Prickly Point. This region receives rainfall throughout the year with peaks in spring and autumn. The plant grows most actively during these milder periods, slowing down during the temperature extremes of summer and winter.
Origin: Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. It is widely distributed across the southern part of the province, from near Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) eastward toward Grahamstown (Makhanda). It typically grows in grassy areas or among rocks, often in the shade of larger shrubs in Albany Thicket vegetation.
