Notes
This species thrives in high heat and intense sun. Its primary growth period follows the summer and early autumn monsoonal rains. It should be kept dry during its winter rest period.
Origin
Mexico, endemic to the southern part of the Baja California peninsula and several islands in the Gulf of California. It is particularly associated with the coastal hills and rocky plains of the Cape Region in Baja California Sur.
