Acquired: 9 days ago(4/10/2026)
In its native habitat, it receives rainfall primarily during the hot summer months via thundershowers. It is an opportunistic grower that responds to moisture during the warm season but requires a completely dry rest period during the winter.
Origin: South Africa, Eastern Cape Province. It is a rare endemic of the Great Karroo, specifically found in a small area near Kendrew, south of Graaff-Reinet. It grows in stony, hilly terrain among shale fragments, often sheltered by low shrubs.
