Acquired: 5 months ago

This species grows primarily during the warm summer months in response to monsoonal rains. In cultivation, it is highly opportunistic and will grow whenever warmth and sufficient light are present, but it requires a strictly dry and frost-free dormancy during the winter.

Origin: Northeastern Africa, specifically native to southeastern Sudan and Ethiopia. It grows in low, hot, and arid semi-desert areas, typically found on rocky slopes or sandy flats in association with Acacia and Aloe species.
