Copiapoa haseltoniana

Northern Chile, specifically the Antofagasta Region. It is endemic to the coastal desert hills and steep, rocky granitic slopes north of Taltal, extending toward Paposo. It grows in extremely arid conditions, relying almost entirely on the "camanchaca" fog.
