LACSS Spring Event in a pot by @colejamesceramics Main vegetative growth occurs during the warm summer rainy season. It is relatively cold-hardy if kept completely dry during its winter dormancy.
Origin
Central and northern Mexico, specifically in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, and Tamaulipas. It typically grows on rocky limestone slopes and hills in the Chihuahuan Desert, often sheltered by nurse plants in its early stages.
