In a clay pot by @nopallitoz Growth is most active during the summer rainy season. It is extremely slow-growing and requires a completely dry winter rest to prevent rot.
Origin
North-central and northeastern Mexico, widely distributed throughout the Chihuahuan Desert in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas. It is typically found on limestone hills and rocky plains at elevations between 1,000 and 2,400 meters.
