Origin: Ethiopia. This is a highly specific and unusual locality for this species. Aloe tenuior is typically known as a South African species (Eastern Cape/KwaZulu-Natal). However, the Huntington Botanical Gardens explicitly lists the range for accession HBG 133234 as Ethiopia, distinguishing it from the typical populations.
