Notes
This species is a winter-growing succulent adapted to minimal rainfall and coastal fog. It enters a deep dormancy during the heat of summer and should be kept dry when the plant is shedding its old leaves to allow the new pair to emerge.
Origin
Namibia. It is endemic to the central and northwestern regions, specifically the Damaraland and Brandberg areas. It grows on wind-swept, arid plains and stony slopes, often camouflaged among white or grey marble and quartzite pebbles.
