Haworthia venosa subs. tessellata cv. Fang
Haworthia venosa subs. tessellata cv. Fang
Acquired: 20 days ago(3/30/2026)
This is one of the hardiest Haworthias and will grow whenever moisture is available and temperatures are mild. It typically rests during the peak heat of summer and the coldest part of winter.
Origin: This is a selected cultivar of the widespread subspecies tessellata. The wild species is native to a vast region of Southern Africa, including Namibia, Botswana, and the Northern Cape of South Africa. It grows in extremely arid, rocky, or sandy plains, often growing in the shade of scrub or in rock crevices. The 'Fang' cultivar is selected for its particularly prominent, tooth-like tubercles (the "fangs") along the leaf margins. These are approximate central coordinates for the Namaqualand/Northern Cape region where robust, toothy forms are commonly found.
Note: Coordinates indicate a general region for educational purposes and are not exact locations. Please do not use them for collection or poaching.
